Small introduction/presentation, job or activity, place of birth or country of origin, training or career, place of living
I’m a holistic practitioner, author, and founder of the Body, Mind & Soul Centre and BMS Retreats. Born in Germany to Croatian immigrant parents, I grew up between cultures, values and worlds — an experience that has shaped both my personal journey and my professional philosophy.
I spent 15 years living in Zurich, where I completed my medical studies and began working in clinical and therapeutic settings. After that, I moved to Dubai, where I ran my practice for ten years before relocating to Istria, Croatia. Today, I divide my time between Dubai, London and the Croatian coast — continuing my work across practice, research and writing, while supporting clients internationally through an integrative approach to health and wellbeing.
Tell us about your place of residence, city or region, activity and if or what you like about your hometown?
I live in Istria, Croatia — close to the Adriatic, surrounded by nature, sea air, truffle forests and rolling wine yards. It’s the perfect counterbalance to my work: a place where I can breathe, think clearly and create. What I love most is the blend of Mediterranean ease and Central European structure. It keeps me grounded, inspired, and deeply connected to the land.
Your must-see addresses near you? (restaurant, market, gallery, museum, not-to-be missed, intimate or secret address, etc.)
A few places I always recommend:
Your favorite places on Earth?
I keep coming back to Dubai for its visionary energy, its boldness, and the feeling that everything is possible there. Right beyond it lies one of my favourite places in the world: the desert of the Middle East — a landscape of deep spirituality and calmness, where everything unnecessary falls away and you reconnect with something elemental.
Italy captivates me with its food, sensuality, and profound history; London with its cultural pulse, creativity, and constant reinvention; and the Croatian islands for their authenticity, exceptional water quality, purity, and deep sense of roots and belonging.
And of course, there are the places that don’t need to be famous — anywhere with warm light, good food, real conversation, and people who show up with heart becomes an instant favorite.
Do you think it is important to travel and why?
Absolutely. Travelling expands your understanding of yourself as much as it expands your understanding of the world. It widens your horizon in every sense — through new scents, traditions, ways of living, and perspectives on what truly matters.
It teaches empathy, perspective, patience, and the beauty of difference.
The future of travel will demand more consciousness — fewer flights without purpose, more meaningful journeys, and deeper respect for local communities and ecosystems.
We as citizens must choose wisely: where we go, how we go, and why we go.
As a woman, how do you judge the future of our land or our societies?
Women are not only the emotional barometer of societies — they are also the ones who quietly build resilience, compassion, and long-term thinking.
The future will require exactly that: emotional intelligence, cooperation, and courage.
My contribution lies in helping people reconnect with their bodies, health, intuition and inner clarity — because a grounded human being makes better decisions for themselves and for the world around them.
Women who stand out to you?
Women who lead without shouting.
Women who heal, build, nurture, create.
Women who can love deeply, who can say no when needed, and who support other women — not only in difficult moments, but by celebrating their success as if it were their own.
From great thinkers and artists to the quiet everyday women who hold families, communities, and futures together — they all inspire me.
What would be your travel dream?
A high-end retreat in nature, surrounded by like-minded people and uplifting energy — a place where meaningful treatments and true care for the body, mind, and soul come together. And that could be anywhere in the world where nature is still intact, healthy, and alive.
